How to design custom socks

A practical guide to starting a custom sock design, reviewing a digital preview, and preparing artwork for production.

Choose a clear starting point

You can start in the Loomood Studio with a photo, an existing pattern, or a written idea. A clear subject, simple message, or recognizable logo gives the design review a useful starting point.

Only upload names, logos, photos, and designs that you created, licensed, or are otherwise authorized to use for this order.

Review the layout before production

Use the digital preview to review artwork placement, colors, and the selected sock format. The preview helps you check the layout before production, but on-screen colors and 3D views are approximations.

Knit structure, yarn availability, sizing, and manufacturing tolerances can affect the finished pair. When an artwork proof is requested, production starts only after approval.

Keep the design production-ready

Use a readable image and avoid relying on tiny details for the main design. Loomood reviews custom artwork before manufacturing and may reject content that is unlawful, unsafe, infringing, or technically unsuitable.

For a team, event, or retail project, request a quote so the production schedule, packaging, and delivery options can be confirmed for the order.
